This is the only bra I’ve tried that is comfortable enough to sleep in post double mastectomy. The compression takes some getting used to and it does roll up, but I can’t stand the ridges and tough fabric of other bras. I love how stretchy and soft it is. I’m now ordering another prairie bra so that I don’t have to rush to wash and dry this one every time I shower.
This Vida Hugger is so comfy and easy to care for. I am very happy to have had this support during breast surgery recovery.
This is getting me through a very hot summer! Bought one size smaller than my usual compression bras, since the compression isn’t as strong. It’s great to be cool and wear some lighter clothes while still preventing lymphedema and cording. I’ll be getting another.
This is the fifth Hugger purchase I have made and there's one big reason why .... comfort! Being a senior, I especially like the wider straps that don't dig into my shoulders. The support is great and the styling on the Aria (I currently rotate two of these) makes me feel like I'm not wearing a "special medical bra". I put my Aria on in the morning and don't think about it all day until I take it off at night. Love these bras and highly recommend them!

As someone with Adenomoysis one of my symptoms is terrible breast pain. This bra has been a game changer! It genuinely helps so much. When I ordered it I originally thought I would just wear it on my period but I haven’t worn a different bra since this one came i n a few weeks ago. My breasts also swell on my period which causes them to change sizes and not fit my bra right. This bra is so adjustable so it fits throughout my whole cycle. Overall I love it so much and will definitely be ordering another one!

The Prairie Wear HuggerPRIMA has been one of the best purchases I made for my post-op recovery. The compression is beautifully even across the entire garment, which made a huge difference compared to other bras that create pressure points or uneven support. The full-coverage design feels secure without feeling restrictive, and the band truly does not dig in - something that’s surprisingly rare in compression garments. What really sets it apart is the extender. Recovery involves a lot of changes in swelling and sensitivity, and the extender allowed the bra to adapt through every stage. Early on it gave the extra room needed when swelling was higher, and later it made it easy to gradually adjust the fit as everything settled. That flexibility meant I could keep using the same bra comfortably throughout the whole healing process instead of constantly switching sizes. Fits well, comfortable. I like the adjustable straps. My only complaint is the pads keep coming out. I understand why they are removable but it's annoying. Overall happy with this as a daily bra.
Love the compression and support of the Prairie Hugger. I am 3 months post single mastectomy and the Prairie Hugger helps me with my fibrosis and swelling. I am wearing it with a cherry pit pad. It is very recommendable after a mastectomy. =)
I'm 72 and just had open rotator cuff surgery that is requiring me to wear a cumbersome sling 24/7 for 8 weeks of the healing process. i needed a bra that could provide me with medium compression for the swelling, comfort and support. The bra also needed to be easy to get on and off without removing the sling for my arm. I inquired at our local lingerie store and the owner recommended and fitted me with the HuggerARIA bra. The result was instant relief from pain around the surgical site area and remarkable overall comfort with support! Also, the medium compression really helped me with the chronic swelling. Within the following week, I purchased a second bra on line as the store did not have another one in stock in my size. It's been 5 weeks and I just ordered a third one in a different color! I feel the HuggerARIA is a great post surgical tool and speeds healing time overall for all my reasons above.
I love my Hugger VIDAS and wear them all the time since my lumpectomy and subsequent lymph node removal surgery 4 years ago. I plan to continue wearing them. They are perfect for me!
Very comfortable with just the right compression. The extender helped for initial surgery. Also, will be able to use after recovery for workouts. A definite buy for mastectomy surgery.
SO THANKFUL for this bra! The compression has been very necessary and it is incredibly comfortable. Washes beautifully and hangs to dry.

It took some getting used to wearing it 24/7 as instructed by my surgeon. Now it is comfortable and actually the support it gives me makes me feel protected. I have much less pain wearing it. I now have three: one was put on me in the operating room, one a friend gave me & the one I bought. I will be purchasing another Prairie Wear for when I can switch to a lower support! They are made with CARE sewn into every detail.

I had bilateral DIEP flap breast reconstruction 8 weeks ago and have been wearing this bra 24/7 for the last six weeks. It’s comfortable, supportive, and the wild rose is a beautiful pale pink. (The color doesn’t show correctly on their website or on this pic.) I ordered another in mocha. High quality, highly recommend!
These bras I purchased for lymphedema and post mastectomy I haven't gotten my breasts yet so I'm actually quite surprised and happy at the way they still fit even with having no breasts. It provides enough compression without feeling to stuffed like a can of biscuits. I was a little leery because of the price but definitely worth it.
I recently had breast reconstruction (due to breast cancer) and bought this for myself for comfort and compression to reduce lymphedema. The fabric is super comfortable, lightweight, and gentle on the skin. The double closure did take a few tries before being able to pull it closed on my own. I am so happy with my purchase and highly recommend it! Don’t forget to check your ta-tas!
When asked to share my experience with this bra, I first wanted to wear it often enough before rating it. But this bra has been a great purchase. I was looking for a bra that would give enough compression and be high enough under the arm and it is both. While still being soft on the radiated skin. The first time trying on the bra it felt tight but it is actually very comfortable. I love the front closure part as well as the adjustable shoulder straps. I enjoy wearing it!
I have To wear an extra pad to push out fluid that is why you see the bulk on the one side. This is very comfortable I was surprised. I am 5ft 3 and weight 140 and wear a 36 D bra so I bought A large.
I LOVE THIS BRA!!! THE BEST BRA EVER IN THE HISTORY IF BRAS!!! And I’m so not kidding. I was blessed with a free sample from my friend who is an MLD Practitioner. I have no history of cancer, or surgery. I do have a deep respect for and understanding of lymph flow and how important it is. I had been previously wearing a merino wool bralette made by a company that starts with a “B”. It was so-so. Comfy, but not supportive. The first time I put on this bra I was HOOKED! It is definitely well-named as “The Hugger”. I thought the zipper might be weird, but it is so not weird. I adore how it states in place ALL day and gives me just the right boost. I am excited to buy more! I have 3 right now- the black sample and 2 in prairie sunrise. I’m looking forward to more colors being available!!!
I have been wearing this to recover from a breast reduction and it has been so great and comfortable. I actually bought two and swap them out every two days to wash. They are easy to look after- I just got my husband to throw it in with his clothes in the washer and dryer. I purchased the size I was before my reduction and that has worked well for accommodating the swelling. The shoulder straps and the underbust area are super comfortable. Highly recommend if you need something for a procedure like this! Thanks Prairie Wear🙏🙏
Love the Vida bra. I’m so glad I bought it in 2 colors. I had the ‘pink’ surgical bra post mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. I got my drains removed and this bra is AMAZING for the next step. Super comfortable, perfect fit. I am so pleased!
Absolutely love this bra. I'm in my late 40s and this is the most comfortable bra I've ever owned. My body has changed a lot this year after recovering from breast cancer and multiple surgeries. Loving how well this bra is fitting my flat chest! It was extremely difficult to find a bra that actually provided compression on my chest following a bilateral mastectomy without reconstruction and due to lymphedema in my chest wall I needed something that fit well. I do find when I sit I have trouble with the bottom rolling up some in the front zipper area but it doesn't cut in and still feels comfortable. The fabric and seams are also very comfortable on my post radiation sensitive skin!

I cannot say enough good things about this bra! Post double mastectomy I needed something with lots of support AND softness to help me get back into exercising. I tried several online and then found the prairie wear brand at a local shop. I now own 3 of theirs and this is my favorite! Pre-surgery I was a 36D, and I wear an XL.
